National Women's Liberation (NWL) Monthly Gathering

A year after the inauguration, we'll be discussing Women's Strike and our strike demands

National Women's Liberation (NWL) meets at the Commons on the third Tuesday of every month from 7pm-  9pm.  Join us in studying our oppression as women, participating in consciousness-raising, and planning feminist actions.

NWL is a national group with chapters in New York City and Gainesville, Florida, and with members across the country. We believe that everyday people make change—not the government, the courts, the media, or celebrities. We know that the freedom women have now was won by movements of women, organizing and fighting for change. We aim to build a grassroots movement of women to bring new fire to the fight for our liberation.

Our priorities are abortion and birth control, overthrowing the double day and winning a social wage, and feminist consciousness-raising. Learn more on our website, http://womensliberation.org/. NWL's Women of Color Caucus (WOCC) meets separately from white women to better understand how white supremacy intersects with other forms of oppression. Read more about WOCC.
