Phase Two: 6PM: CHIRON Performing Arts: Kaufman’s long running arts performance ensemble.
Robert Dick will perform ‘Blue-green planet’ on his human-sized contrabass flute in front of video of images of earth from space. Jennifer Roderer and Daniel Rieppel perform dramatic music. An environmental speaker will give action steps on preserving our planet’s ecology. Jeffrey Weeks Harrison will speak of his recent experiences in Africa and perform music on French Horn. The event will conclude with Christopher Kaufman’s powerful environmental work, Hudson Valley Music, which combines live performance, video of natural images and the work of environmental painter Ken-Cro-Ken, and an extensive ‘music concrete’ composed from hundreds of natural sounds.  HVM takes you on a journey from the Long Island Sound, up the Hudson River Valley and into mythological space.
