A panel discussion with John Ameroso , Elliott Maltby, Daniel Bowman-Simon and urban farmer Abu Talib from Taqwa Farms- moderated by Tyler Caruso
Urban farming, along with a robust conversation about urban agriculture, is increasingly prevalent throughout the City; however, this isn’t the first time New Yorkers have been fascinated by the topic. The panelists will talk a bit about early urban farms - including Gericke Farm which has been in cultivation since the 1700’s. We’ll also look at a couple of contemporary projects in more detail.
This discussion is brought to you by LEAP, a graduate-student advocacy group out of Pratt Institute.
