Often called “The Mayor of Macdougal Street,” Dave Van Ronk was a central figure in the Greenwich Village folk music revival of the 1950’s and 60’s and in the "Fast Folk" / Speakeasy scene during the 1980’s. Dave was an expert fingerpicking blues guitarist who was a mentor and friend to countless folk singers, including Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell. This celebration of Dave’s music brings together performers from generations young and old whose lives have been touched by Dave and his music. The night will be filled with songs and stories about Dave.
