Mother Tongues United is a movement to unite speakers of historically undervalued languages in an effort to dispel myths and stereotypes surrounding those languages. In celebration of International Month of Creoles, The Haitian Creole Language Institute in collaboration with Port Academie presents Mother Tongues United: Creoles of the Caribbean! Come help us celebrate by learning about the linguistic history of certain Creoles and engaging in spirited discussion around what it means to be a Creole speaker. The event will consist of a roundtable discussion followed by small break out language learning sessions!
There will be Caribbean inspired snacks, drinks, and much more! Don't miss out on a great learning opportunity. For more information and to register, plase go to: www.haitiancreoleinstitute.com
